Edward has practiced in the field of civil and commercial litigation involving contentious and non-contentious work since 1993. His areas of practice include corporate, contractual and tortious disputes in commercial, tenancy, employment and building and construction contracts.

- Advised and acted for a major Japanese main contractor in a dispute with the subcontractor relating to the termination of the sub-contractor’s employment in the construction of a power station.
- Advised and acted for a major Japanese main contractor in a dispute with the developer relating to defective works in the construction of a government building.
- Advised and acted for a major Korean main contractor in arbitration in a dispute with the sub-contractor with regard to variation works in the construction of a hospital.

- Advised and acted for a major Australian consultant gas company in arbitration in a dispute with the developer and the main contractor in the construction of a gas pipeline.

- Advised and acted for an Australian engineering consulting company in arbitration in a dispute with a foreign government agency relating to the construction of facilities for a naval base.
- Advised a major pharmaceutical company on their EPCM contract relating to the construction of a pharmaceutical plant.
- Advised a major pharmaceutical company on their Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation and Maintenance Service Agreement for their plant in Singapore.

Professional background
Edward graduated from the University of East Anglia in 1990 with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Honours degree. He was admitted as a Barrister-at-law to the bar of England and Wales in 1992 and is a member of the Inns of Court, Middle Temple.
In 1993, he was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in Singapore.
Edward is also a member of the Society of Construction Law.
